Biography:
Ashvika Bandaru is a second-year medical student at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine. She earned her undergraduate degree in Biology and Medical Anthropology from Case Western Reserve University, graduating summa cum laude. Her research interests include cardiovascular medicine, health disparities, and improving patient outcomes through clinical research. She is currently involved in cardiology research investigating the spontaneous closure of iatrogenic atrial septal defects following left atrial appendage occlusion. She hopes to pursue a career in medicine that combines clinical care, research, and advocacy.
