Biography:
CDR James Jowdy, DO is a physician and Commander in the United States Coast Guard and US Public Health Service. He is a fourth year PM&R resident at EVMS at ODU, Norfolk, Virginia, USA. He completed medical school in 2007 and a General Surgery Internship in 2008. He served the US Navy as a Undersea Medical Officer till 2013. Prior to starting his time of service in the USPHS / USCG in 2021, he was a general practicing physician at the only federal women’s prison hospital, initiating the federal bureau of prison’s first multi-disciplinary pain management program.
