Biography:
Sahel Akbari holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with a minor in Bioelectric Engineering. She completed her Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Twente, the Netherlands, in 2022, specializing in biomedical signal processing. In October 2022, she joined the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at Erasmus Medical Center, the Netherlands, as a PhD candidate in Dr. Hans Bussmann’s research group. Her research focuses on developing and advancing technologies for home-based upper extremity rehabilitation following stroke. Currently in the third year of her PhD, she has one publication under review and two additional manuscripts in preparation.
